Wendy Wood creates glass coasters, dishes and wall art using fused techniques, but also sometimes incorporates leading, copper-foiling and traditional glass painting into her work. She uses glass powder for much of her work, enabling her to develop details, without much waste, and to use the crackle technique, as developed by Bob Leatherbarrow.  She most enjoys producing pieces that have a free, organic finish, in contrast to the hardness of glass.

Wendy’s love of colour and light and qualification as an interior designer contribute to her enthusiasm about bringing more beauty into people’s homes and lives.  Much of her work is drawn from the inspiration of living within a few minutes’ walk of the East Mendip Way.
