My pottery covers a range of hand thrown domestic stoneware, as well as slab built and coiled sculptural forms. The slab built structures are based on vernacular architecture emerging from the landscape and are inspired by many different countries, but not least by the oddities of Frome’s stone built terraces following the hilly landscape. For the domestic ware I enjoy exploring shape and colour, often using shino and turquoise glazes, with a range of mugs, bowls, jugs and plates.
Although pottery is my main passion, I also produce etchings and pastel drawings. I am a member of the Frome Printmakers Group and we hold joint exhibitions.
I will also be showing work at the next Frome Festival Open Studios Trail, July 2017 B on A on 4th -6th August www.timrosepotsandprints.com
