Stephanie is a woven textile designer making contemporary handwoven interior products and fashion accessories. She trained at Winchester School of Art, specialising in woven textiles. During this period she experimented extensively with techniques and weaving processes. She has a particular interest in the technical aspects of weaving. A further Diploma at the Handweavers Studio London advanced her knowledge and understanding of the practice.
Stephanie simply loves the process and the endless possibilities it allows for experimentation. Her inspiration is varied and her ideas are developed through a combination of research, observational drawing, photographs and windings. The results are then produced on a 24 shaft Dobby Loom. Like every part of the weaving process it takes time, patience and practice but the finished products are completely unique.
